So, I've realised our cell blog is dying.. It's been more than a year since anyone has posted something here! And I shall edit our template as soon as I can. Since I've noticed nobody dares to touch it cause they may mess it up. Funny stuff (: but other than that, cell, cluster, everythings awesomee. But I remember that we specifically made this blog for Jesslyn. But apparently I think she's only posted once! Ahh but anyway, if you guys are planning on anything, wanna tell the cell, just post something here! It won't take much time really.Signing off,

1. Time of AffirmationI just want to affirm some of my boys for their good work in fasting and their diligence in reading the words of God:

2. Our memory Verses for this week
Ephesians 1:1-2
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God. To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Christ Jesus.
3. For those who missed cell group - The word for this week
a. Reading the word of God – Eternal life to those who hears – God promises
Psalms 1:1
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of the sinners.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he mediates day and night
He is like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever he does prospers.
In these verse, God has firmly declares the final outcomes of the two ways; the way of “Sinners” and the way of the “righteous”
The Lord has called upon us to mediate on his words day and night. So what is it that the lord called us to do?
- Read the word of God!
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in u richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him!
Why do we need to read the word of God?
Is the word of God that important?
In the bible, the word life actually appears 36 times in John while in no other book, life appears no more than 17 times.
John 10: 28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
God want us to read the word of God, because the word was with God and the word was God. And in him we have life. In him we will have eternal life and we shall not perish.
Memorization of the bible is important in the spiritual formation of our lives. How do you draw near to God? God wants to draw near to us.
Draw near to him and he will draws near to us that God gave to us. Turn our Face to our God, Lord our Father Christ Jesus.
b. Has your heart went cold? Seek the word of the Lord
In Jeremiah, the heart of the people has gone cold. The people in Jeremiah worship other God and do all sort of sinful acts that are displeasure to God. There were only 2 man left who has the right heartbeat and pray for the land of the people. Josiah, the king and Jeremiah the prophet.
Through these 2 people, the people of the land were asked to turn their heart towards God. The people did so but it was only an outwards obedience. It was a shallow repentance. Outwardly the people seek God, but inwardly they didn’t.
God was not happy with that. Not happy with all the sins that they have done. Time and again, God gave them chance, but in Jeremiah 5: They have grown fat and sleek; They know no limits in deeds of wickedness: they do not judge with justice the cause of the orphan to make it prosper and they do not defend the rights of the needy.
Their burnt offerings are not acceptable and their sacrifices are not pleasing to the God. Because it is but a false façade. It is just for show only,
Similarly in this way, God do not want a Generation of people to have a heart that will go cold. He wants a generation of youth to rise up, to read his word, because his word is life. His word will give us eternal life.
So I would like all of us here to read the word of God and to memorize his words so that you be like a man who will be blessed, so that you will be a plant by the river side, that your fruits will prosper and your leaf will not wither. But whatever you do, you will prosper.
Pray that our journey with God is one that is active, one in which we actively inquire of the lord and seeking his presence. God bless your week ahead!!

h aha..wow, no one writes, let's bring it alive. eh... supposed to be a more Godly kinds of entry, here goes..Was talking to my colleague today and he share abt something quite touching.
In essence, God has established David over Israel and David wanted to build a house for the Lord when he find himself living in a palace while ark of God remains in a tent. But God answers him saying your son shall build the temple of God and not only that I will build a dynasty for you which last forever.
Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said:
"Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? 19 And as if this were not enough in your sight, O Sovereign LORD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant. Is this your usual way of dealing with man, O Sovereign LORD ?

Is this your usual way of dealing with man? Is this how God bless us? Yes, that's God immense grace and love for all of us. It is hard to put in words but imagine for a while above scenario then we might really appreciate who God is
P.S. many at times we do not read regularly the bible which I find to me to is that it does not provide us with life or a hunger like everyday meals. But once I find a revelation speakin of who God's is, the hunger may come. So if there is anything u wan to discuss, feel free to post
